I thought the Sisterhood books were supposed to raise the Sisterhood to a point of heroism. This book didn't do that for me. A former childhood friend of two sisterhood members is now a member of the FBI and, under a new name of Erin Powell, is put in charge of a task force to force out the Sisterhood and arrest them. The problem is she has been set up to fail. A brilliant agent, suddenly elevated to the role of leader of a task force in which the men put under her resent her authority, and openly show their resentment. Every decision she seems to make is called in to the FBI Director who every time backs the agent under Erin. You just can't help but to side with her as her brilliant career is being trashed. Then the author sets out in her book to belittle American political parties by name, another element of this book I don't like. If you are going to make someone corrupt, make them and not their party corrupt, or at least don't attach an actual political party name to the corruption unless you are going to write a political book, of which this isn't one. And if the Sisterhood is to be considered a gang (as this story seems to infer they are), then they have infiltrated the government with their own moles at every level. This was just a book I didn't agree with. I love the Sisterhood series but this book fail short in so many ways . What really sealed the 2 stars for me was the profanity 🤮 ! It was f this and f that I was truly shocked. Because I don’t remember this being the case in the other books in the series . The writer also referred to the male’s genitalia for various people’s personalities , just so disappointing !!
